Post Using Estate Agent Solicitors for Conveyancing

Does anyone have any experience with using estate agent solicitors for their conveyancing? I'm using one recommended through Countrywide Mortgages and I'm wondering whether to switch as it's not going anywhere fast.

Steer clear of all estate agents solicitors if i were you. They operate in call centres with sometimes one real solicitor amongst hundreds of cases. Most customer queries are diverted through to the scripted customer service lines, so getting an actual hard update on your case would be near enough impossible.

I used estate agents solicitors before, never again. I could never speak to the solicitor directly. It was an absolute nightmare and it took 3 months for us to get the keys.

Many complaints found on Countrywide service if you look online.
